Mrs. Andrée Mathieu organized her third annual benefit night for the Attention Deficit, with or without Hyperactivity, Disorder (ADD/ADHD) Clinic at the Douglas. The event took place once again at the Calistoga Grill in Pointe-Claire.
This year, with the help of donors and volunteers, Mrs. Mathieu was able to surpass last year’s total and raise $ 8 161. Janssen Inc. her employers, generously matched this amount for a total of $ 16 322 raised in funds.
Like last year, these funds will go towards special social skills workshops at the Douglas summer camp for children living with ADHD. This cause is very important for Mrs. Mathieu as her son has ADHD.
Mrs. Mathieu would like to thank the people and organizations that donated items for the silent auction:
Best Buy, Calistoga Grill, Lucie Brault, Franca Fautini of Royal Lepage, Filosofia Distributions – Educational games, Forever Green, Céline Giguère – artist, François Giguère of Globo Cam., Garage Port Royal, Dr. Christiane Laberge, Lotus Aroma, Suzanne Renaud – artist and painter, Salon Châtelaine, West Island Zumba, and Daniela Zekina – artist.
She would also like to thank the volunteers: Jeffrey Gallant, Hope Chelsea Reid, and Judy Tardiff.
Thank you to the group Night Shift for their excellent music once again this year!
The Douglas Institute Foundation is proud to count on the support and commitment of Mrs. Mathieu each year. Thanks to donors like her, the Douglas is able to offer new hope to children living with attention deficit disorders and their families. Thank you to all those who helped make the night a success!
