I’m David Handfield and this summer I will be attempting to climb Mount Nun in India, a 7000m+ peak to raise funds for mental health research.
Mental health is a subject that I truly hold to heart as it is one that has affected several people close to me with sometimes tragic outcomes.
For those suffering from mental health issues, they sometimes experience that hostile and challenging environment on a daily basis. Every day, that we take for granted for them can seem like they are climbing that high altitude peak, in the cold, dark and alone.
For this reason, I am hoping to push myself beyond anything that I have done in the past to help raise awareness, help advance research and reduce the challenge for those that are dealing with mental health issues to help them reach that summit that they are struggling so hard to achieve.
